First off, thanks to everyone who helped start this project, and for those who helped me continue to finish up strong! I started with one clean unmolested Z, not to mention a vert! It is a nice daily driver and fun to drive but needed that extra boost! So after a little over a year of owning it, I decided to do the inevitable and swap it! It had 83k when bought (3rd owner) now has 89k. I recently swapped my 2+2, but didn't like the end result so after heavy debates I decided to use the 2+2 for parts! Word to the wise, don't bite off more than you can chew meaning I changed out the engine, trans, rear, suspension all at once on the 2+2. The project become overwhelming and at the end became crazy when putting everything back together. This is why I only swapped the engine and trans on the vert, period. One thing AT A TIME! The manifolds, turbos, IC and piping, oil cooler and fuel rails all came out of the parts car and put on an engine purchased from a great dude in Corey, ( BoosTTed) thanks! Installed everything in 20 days (started Sept. 8th, engine started Sept. 20th) and finished the rest (exhaust and radiator) this passed weekend. The car runs great and the harness from wiring specialties worked out well. No issues and I did buy from Bernie direct. He did mention the coil packs and to label them before install and the injector plugs were replaced to accept my ID injectors so he labeled those for me. Thanks BERN. Lastly I ended up using the stock mufflers with the combo of an H pipe, from my SZ TP's (3"-2.5") from 3" SZ DP. Sounds great! For now. I still have to swap the fuel pumps because my NA pump is crying! On to the pics...
